Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the BenchPilot Chrome extension and this website. BenchPilot is operated by Rakessh.D, an individual based in India ("we", "the seller"). By installing or using BenchPilot you agree to these terms.
1. License to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use BenchPilot for your own recruiting and bench sales work. The Free plan is available without payment within its limits. You may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer (except as the law permits) or redistribute the extension or license keys.
2. Your account, plans and license keys
- Free: 25 reveals per month (a reveal is saving, copying or pitching a new recruiter contact), 2 consultants and 1 email template.
- Basic (₹299 per month or ₹2,499 per year): 300 reveals per month, 10 consultants, 3 templates, CSV export and follow-up reminders, for the period you paid for.
- Pro (₹599 per month or ₹4,999 per year): unlimited reveals (subject to fair use), up to 200 consultants, 10 templates, JSON export and the tech matcher, plus everything in Basic, for the period you paid for.
- Your paid plan (Basic or Pro) is tied to your BenchPilot account (email and password, or Google sign-in). One account is for one person. You may sign in on your own computers, but you may not share your account or its plan with others. Sharing may lead to the account being suspended without any refund.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and Google account secure and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You must give a working email address and verify it before paying.
- Older license keys issued by email remain personal to the buyer and may be used on a maximum of 2 computers.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
- Current prices are shown on the pricing section and may change for new purchases. The founding offer (Pro at ₹399 per month for the first 50 buyers) is available while spots last.
3. Payments and plan expiry
- Payments are processed by Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets), an RBI-authorised payment aggregator. We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details. After successful payment, your plan is activated on your account automatically (see Shipping & Delivery).
- There is no auto-renewal. Each payment buys a fixed plan period; we never charge you again unless you choose to pay again. If a payment is reversed (for example a duplicate or failed charge), the plan time it bought is removed from your account.
- When your plan period ends, your account returns to the Free plan. Your saved data stays in your browser; paid features pause until you renew.
4. Refunds
All Basic and Pro purchases are final and non-refundable, including partially used periods. You can try every Free feature before buying. The only exception is a duplicate charge or a charge without plan activation that support cannot fix, which must be reported within 7 days. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You are solely responsible for how you use BenchPilot and the information you collect with it. You agree that you will:
- comply with LinkedIn's terms of service and the terms of any other website you use with the extension;
- comply with anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to you, including CAN-SPAM in the US and India's applicable laws, for example by honouring opt-outs and not sending deceptive emails;
- not use BenchPilot for automated mass scraping beyond the product's own features, or to harvest data for resale;
- not use BenchPilot for harassment, fraud, illegal activity or to send unsolicited bulk email;
- not attempt to bypass license checks or plan limits.
We may revoke a license for serious or repeated breaches.
6. Not affiliated with LinkedIn
BenchPilot is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation. LinkedIn may change its website at any time, which can affect how BenchPilot works. We do not guarantee that a LinkedIn account will never be restricted; you use the extension at your own risk and should keep your usage moderate.
7. Your data
Your leads, consultants and settings stay in your browser. We keep only your account email, sign-in provider data, plan dates and payment records (Supabase, hosted in Mumbai, India; Razorpay for payments). See the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for backing up anything important; uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data removes it.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
BenchPilot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that extracted information is complete or accurate, or that using BenchPilot will result in placements, replies or revenue.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, business or account access arising from your use of BenchPilot. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes
We may update the extension, these terms or the pricing. We will update the effective date above when the terms change. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you may have.
